Bob Anderson, associate professor of political science and academic coordinator for the Isabella Cannon Leadership Fellows Program, will conduct the introductory seminar at North Carolina State University for the 2003 – 2004 Parks Scholars on Wednesday, Sept. 3. This is the second year in a row Anderson has been asked by the Park Scholar planning committee to conduct this initial seminar session for its new class. He will address topics relevant to college freshmen in the novel “Ishmael.”
There are 57 freshmen in this year’s Park Scholars class at N.C. State. The Park Scholarships program is among America’s most prestigious undergraduate merit scholarship programs. The scholarships pay all expenses for four years of study at N. C. State, and include a stipend for each student to purchase a personal computer and peripherals.
