Folksinger and five-time Grammy nominee John McCutcheon will appear in concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 16, in McCrary Theatre, located in the Center for the Arts on the Elon University campus.
McCutcheon is a master of a dozen traditional instruments, most notably the hammer dulcimer. Among his distinctions, he performed in the first children’s concert on the Nashville Network and discussed songwriting on NPR’s All Things Considered. His 24 recordings have garnered five Grammy nominations.
The concert is sponsored by Student Activities and the Office of Cultural Programs. Tickets for the performance are $12, or free with valid Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased by calling the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
