On Friday, Sept. 5, Elon University will kick off its 2003-04 Faculty/Staff solicitation campaign. The campaign will run through Oct. 6.
During last year’s campaign the Elon family contributed over $177,000, not including a $50,000 one-time gift. This year’s goal is to raise $190,000 and increase the participation rate from last year’s 46% to 50% among all faculty and staff.
Gifts to the faculty/staff campaign are used in a number of important ways including support for faculty and staff salaries, student scholarships and general operating expenses.
Dr. Janie Brown, professor of Physical Education and Pam Brumbaugh, director of Experiential Education will once again co-chair this campaign. After the tremendous success of last year’s campaign, they were both excited and energized to be involved for a second year and want to encourage every member of the Elon family to consider making a gift to this year’s effort. Gifts of all sizes, both large and small, will help us reach our goal and demonstrate the strong commitment we all have for Elon and its students.
