Two articles in the Sept. 1 edition of the Burlington Times-News previewed upcoming events sponsored by Project Pericles at Elon.
The first story previewed “Make a Sundae, Make a Difference,” a fundraiser for CrossRoads Sexual Assault Response and Resource Center scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 7. Elon art students in professor Mike Sanford’s class made bowls for the event. To read the article, click here.
Another story featured an interview with Christopher Eyl, a graphic designer in university relations, who leaves in late September on a 2,876-mile cross country bike trip to raise funds for CrossRoads. Eyl’s trip is made possible by a Project Pericles service sabbatical, which provdes Elon employees with one month of paid leave time from their jobs to perform service work in the community.
