The Ahn Trio will bring their unique piano style to Elon during a concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 23 in McCrary Theatre, located on campus.
Originally from South Korea, the Julliard-trained piano trio features twins Lucia and Maria, and their sister, Angella. Their recording of Dvorak, Suk and Shostakovich trios won Germany’s prestigious ECHO Award, and another CD, “Ahn-Plugged,” has only enhanced the trio’s popularity. The Washington Post said of their performance, “Their technique was impressive, and they balanced unanimity and individuality in a spirit that is at the heart of chamber music.”
Tickets for the performance are $12, or free with valid Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased by calling the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
