Are you interested in breaking away from campus for a few days? Consider joining this year’s Alternative Fall Break trip! This year’s team will travel to the beautiful Appalachian Mountains in western North Carolina. The group will visit two communities focused on sustainable living. Mountain Mission Farms and Earthaven are both communities working to develop alternative energies, sustainable agriculture and conservative construction. This is a great opportunity to develop friendships, learn about efficient lifestyles and find ways to implement new knowledge into your daily life. If you are interested in joining this fall break adventure, contact Katie or Rachel in the Kernodle Center for Service Learning in Moseley 230. Don’t wait, because there are only a few spots left.
