Elon Student Television’s news program, Phoenix14News, recently announced the unveiling a new I-Team. The I-Team, short for Investigative Team, is a group of four student journalists whose sole focus will be investigative reporting. Viewers can expect to see the first I-Team reports beginning Nov. 3.
“This is the next big thing we’re doing to show we are focused on student issues, and that our goal is to tackle stories that make a difference,” News Director David Douglas said. “Student newscasts don’t usually delve into the kind of issues we’re looking into. We’re working hard to make sure we keep ourselves, and our viewers, on their toes,” Douglas said.
The I-Team is made up of Scott Myrick, Meghan Packer, Beth Roberts and Douglas.
Phoenix14News also plans to unveil an interactive website later in October.
