The Elon University Percussion Ensemble will hold its annual fall concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 18 in Yeager Recital Hall, located in the Center for the Arts on campus. The concert is free and open to the public.
Now in its 15th season, the ensemble will perform a variety of contemporary compositions for percussion instruments, including works by Ronald Lo Presti, Gordon Peters, Mark Ford, Andrew Stout and Steve Winstead. The concert will also include arrangements of classical works, including Carl Orff’s “Street Song,” Georges Bizet’s “Farandole from L’Arleisienne Suite No. 2,” and Antonin Dvorak’s “Largo from the New World Symphony.”
