Ground was broken Aug. 26 for the pavilion, the third in the Academic Village on the East side of campus. The new pavilion, scheduled to open in summer 2004, will be the home for the political science department and the Elon University Polling Center.
The Academic Village is a living-learning center for the liberal arts and sciences. The Isabella Cannon International Studies Pavilion and William R. Kenan, Jr. Honors Pavilion, the first two buildings in the village, alread house approximately 60 students.
