Dolores Truitt ’53 receives Elon Homes award

Dolores Truitt ’53 of Elon received the 2003 Louise T. Barringer Award from the Elon Homes for Children Foundation Tuesday, Dec. 2.

The award recognizes Truitt, a longtime member of the Elon Homes for Children board of directors, for her tireless dedication to Elon Homes and the children it serves. Truitt is a former board chair and has served on many of its committees. Her father-in-law, Dr. John G. Truitt, Sr., was a former administrator of the organization.

Elon Homes for Children Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to develop and manage funds that support the home.
