Leuchtenburg is the author of many books, including In the Shadow of FDR: From Harry Truman to Bill Clinton. He will explain the contest between the Democratic and Republican parties in 2004, concentrating on contemporary issues and reflecting on sectional, class, ethnic and religious conflicts that began generations ago.
