Fabulous Fibers!, an exhibition of contemporary fiber art, will open Friday, Jan. 9 in the Isabella Cannon Room, located in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts on the Elon campus.
The invitational exhibition, which will be open from Jan. 9-Feb. 13, features contemporary fiber art created by North Carolina artists. Varying techniques and media will be displayed, including quilt making, beading, hand and machine stitching, hand-dyed fabric and digital imagery.
A closing reception is scheduled from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 9 in the Isabella Cannon Room. The reception is free and open to the public.
Fabulous Fibers! is part of James H. McEwen Jr. Visual Arts Series. The series perpetuates McEwen’s interest in the arts, and brings innovative artists and their work to Elon.
