Victoria Fischer Faw, professor of music, will perform a piano recital at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 20 in Whitley Auditorium, located on the Elon University campus.
Faw’s performance will feature a solo piano recital with a Hungarian connection, including selections from Haydn, Liszt, and Bartok.
Faw received a grant from the International Research Exchange that allowed her to study at the Bartok Archive in Budapest. She has edited or contributed to several publications, including “The Cambridge Companion to Bartok.” She was also the featured artist on the 2002 recording “Evening in the Country: Folk Influence in the Piano Works of Bela Bartok.”
Admission is free and the recital is open to the public.
