Ben Wentworth, the 2001 Disney Outstanding Teacher of the Year, will discuss student and teacher motivation in the classroom during a presentation at 7:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 23 in McCrary Theatre, located in the Center for the Arts on campus. The presentation is free and open to the public.
Wentworth recently retired from teaching, after spending the past 11 years at the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind, where he taught high school science and history. He has earned numerous honors and awards for his teaching, He now conducts educational workshops, does motivational speaking, and now works as a low-vision consultant with NASA and the Mid-Continental Research for Education and Learning Center in Denver.
