Debate to focus on free speech in U.S. since 9/11, March 15

Jeff Jacoby and Harvey Silverglate will offer opposing viewpoints on how much freedom of speech has been curtailed in the United States since the September 11 terrorist attacks during a debate at 7:30 p.m., Monday, March 15 in Whitley Auditorium on the Elon University campus. Sponsored by the Liberal Arts Forum, the debate is free and open to the public.

Jacoby is an op-ed columnist who offers a conservative voice at The Boston Globe. Silverglate is a lawyer and co-author of “The Shadow University: The Betrayal of Liberty on America’s Campuses.”
