Ward-Johnson selected as Journalism Educators Fellow

Frances Ward-Johnson, an associate professor in the School of Communication, has been chosen as a Journalism Educators Fellow for 2004 by the American Press Institute.

Ward-Johnson will attend the American Press Institute’s Journalism Educators seminar in Reston, Va., June 6-10.

Funded by an endowment from the John Ben Snow Memorial Trust, this weeklong seminar exposes college educators to the latest trends in the newspaper industry, from the challenges of new media and convergence to updates on best practices at major newspapers for use in teaching and academic advising.
