Trip Durham, assistant athletics director for marketing, promotions and home game management, will take part in a marketing seminar for NCAA Division II schools in June in Rock Hill, S.C. The program was profiled in the Feb. 9-15 issue of Street and Smith’s Sports Business Journal.
Durham, who is also third vice president with the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA), will work with colleagues from across the country to stage the seminars, aimed at helping Division II schools improve their marketing skills and techniques.
Durham will take part in the first seminar in Rock Hill June 1-3, which is being viewed as a test for future seminars. Administrators from Ohio State University, Iowa State University and University of California-Riverside are also slated to attend the conference.
The seminars are designed to bring NACMA’s programs closer to Division II schools. Because of recent budget cutbacks, staff members from Division II schools have not been able to attend NACMA conferences with great frequency in recent years. These seminars are offered to Division II athletics staff members at no charge.
