Students in Professor Hal Walker’s Leisure/Sport Management class will host a symposium from 8:30 a.m.-4:15 p.m., Saturday, April 24 in Koury Center, located on the Elon University campus.
The symposium is aimed at college majors with interests in communications, management, television, and marketing as they relate to various aspects of the sport, leisure, and recreation industries.
Scheduled speakers include Rich Brenner, sports director at WGHP-FOX 8 television; Davin Olsen, vice president and general manager of the RBC Center in Raleigh; Elon alumnus Josh Felix, vice president of business development for Frontier Management Group in Chicago; and Jackie Myers, an Elon alum and director of athletics at Meredith College in Raleigh.
