Walker publishes book chapter, presents at conference

Hal Walker, associate professor of leisure/sport management, recently authored a chapter: “Practical Tips for Internship Success,” published in the Directory of Internships in the Sport and Exercise Sciences. Teed, Kenneth. (2004). Fitness Information Technology, Inc. is the publisher.

Walker will also present two sessions Friday, April 2 at the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD), National Conference in New Orleans. Walker will serve as a panel member in a workshop titled “How to get published,” which provides support for junior faculty in their quest to be published in peer-reviewed journals.

Walker’s second session will be titled “Marketing Plans Work for People Too.”
