The Elon University Jazz Ensemble will hold its annual spring concert at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 23 in McKinnon Hall, located in Moseley Center on campus. The concert is free and open to the public, along with free swing and salsa dance instruction which begins at 6:30 p.m.
The concert will feature several popular numbers, including Benny Goodman’s “Let’s Dance,” Count Basie’s “One O’Clock Jump” and “Jumpin’ at the Woodside,” Duke Ellington’s “Satin Doll,” and Dizzy Gillespie’s “A Night in Tunisia.” Music faculty members Stephen Futrell and Tony Sawyer will make special guest appearances.
