Clyde Ellis, associate professor of history, has co-authored the introduction to a 2 CD-set of 66 Kiowa hymns produced in conjunction with the University of Nebraska Press and Ball State University’s Center for Media Design.
Available through University of Nebraska Press, the set includes liner notes that translate hymns into English and Kiowa. The project is a follow up to “The Jesus Road: Kiowas, Christianity and Indian Hymns” which Ellis wrote with Luke Eric Lassiter of Ball State and Ralph Kotay of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma.
