Linda Lashendock, coordinator of television services, made a presentation at the national meeting of the Broadcaster Education Association in Las Vegas April 16.
Lashendock was a panelist with other communications faculty and staff from around the nation for a discussion titled “Student Newscasts: Who is Doing What and How.” Panelists shared information about their broadcast news operations and how student newscasts fit into the campus community.
Other topics included included facilities and equipment support, newsroom software systems and academic involvement.
Lashendock was joined on the panel by Andy Barton, University of Miami; Anthony Cavazos, University of Oklahoma; and Dutch Hoggatt, Harding University. Dana Rosengard of the University of Memphis served as moderator.
