“Feminism-What’s That?” panel discussion, April 22

What do the words “feminism” and “feminist” really mean?

Three Elon students enrolled in the university’s Women’s and Gender studies minor will share their definitions of the terms during a forum titled “Feminism-What’s That?” at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 22 in McKinnon Hall, located in the Moseley Center on campus.

Students Anne Corbitt, Sara Horn and Adam Smith will discuss their insights into feminism. Elon’s Women’s and Gender studies program offers courses from various academic disciplines on campus that examine the role of women in society and local and global issues important to women.

The program is free and open to the public; refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m. “Feminism-What’s That?” is sponsored by the Women’s and Gender Studies program.
