Black Excellence Awards honor 71 students

Seventy-one students were honored for their academic achievements at the 11th Annual Black Excellence Awards Banquets on Saturday, April 24 in McKinnon Hall. Students and their families gathered to honor the academic success of black students enrolled at Elon University. The guests were welcomed by Dr. Leo Lambert and treated to a keynote address by Mrs. Kebbler McGhee Richards, class of 1999. Since the inception of the Banquet in 1993, almost 800 students have been honored. One hundred percent of those students have graduated from Elon University.
