Bob Russ, assistant professor of English, authored two entries in the recently released reference work Writers of the American Renaissance: An A-to-Z Guide. His articles are on Sarah and Angelina Grimke, two Charleston, SC, sisters who were writers and public speakers prominent in both the abolitionist and women’s rights movements in 19th century America. The book was published by Greenwood Press.
