Glenda Crawford’s new book, “Managing the Adolescent Classroom: Lessons from Outstanding Teachers,” was published by Corwin Press this month. Through a series of research-based case studies of exemplary teachers, Crawford demonstrates how to triangulate classroom management around three essential factors: physical (leveraging time, space, and a structured environment); affective (promotion of positive, interpersonal development); and cognitive (instructional pacing, motivation, and academic engagement).
