Maroon 5 rocked Elon

Maroon 5 performed to a sold out crowd of 2,600 in Elon’s Alumni Gym on Saturday, May 8. Student Union Board sponsored the concert and with the help of 70 volunteers, the show went off without a glitch.

Supporting acts included Sara Barielles and Melbourne. This was one of the most anticipated concerts at Elon in the last 10 years.

Maroon 5 played their hits, including “Harder to Breathe,” “This Love,” and their newest single, “She Will Be Loved.” Maroon 5 has performed on the Jay Leno Show and will soon be on the Today Show. Their album, “Songs About Jane,” has been on Billboard’s top 200 for more than 50 weeks and has sold more than 1 million copies.

The concert was a huge success and Student Union Board looks forward to more large concerts such as Maroon 5 in the future.
