Delta Delta Delta will host its 137th active chapter, Epsilon Delta, at Elon University.
More than 35 percent of Elon students choose to join one of more than 20 Greek-letter organizations. Last year, Elon University Greek students raised more than $14,000 and donated more than 16,000 service hours to charitable organizations.
Tri Delta’s Director of Alumnae/Volunteer Enrichment Stacy Cross, Illinois State, says, “Because of the Greek community’s commitment to excellence, Tri Delta is pleased to colonize a chapter at Elon University. Our values closely match those of the university and the existing Greek organizations.”
The chapter will begin its colonization process during the fall of 2004. Epsilon Delta Chapter of Tri Delta joins National Panhellenic Conference organizations Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Xi Delta, Phi Mu, Sigma Kappa, Sigma Sigma Sigma, and Zeta Tau Alpha and National Pan-Hellenic Council organizations Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sigma Gamma Rho and Zeta Phi Beta.
Delta Delta Delta, one of the founders of the National Panhellenic Conference, is a leader among women’s fraternities. Tri Delta is one of the largest women’s fraternities, with a membership totaling more than 210,000 women. With 136 collegiate chapters and more than 350 alumnae chapters across the United States and Canada, Tri Delta continues to be internationally recognized for high standards and outstanding accomplishments.
