Education department faculty Glenda Crawford, Deborah Long and Bird Stasz recently returned from Tajikistan where they led a week-long professional development seminar with university faculty, administrators and teacher educators. The participants represented a cross-section of leading educators who traveled to Dushanbe from various parts of the country.
As consultants through the PEAKS (Participation, Education, and Knowledge Strengthening in Central Asia) project sponsored by USAID, the Elon faculty’s goal was to collaborate with the Tajikistan educators to design a sustainable model for teacher preparation.
