A photo of Periclean ScholarsRising juniors Hayley Gravette and Marissa Morris-Jones are doing internships with the Ombetja Yehinga Organization from June 3-July 11 in Namibia. They brought books, art and school supplies with them to be donated to orphans and other children supported by that organization and Catholic AIDS Action. The books will be placed in reading libraries at after-school feeding sites and support programs throughout the country.

Gravette will remain in Namibia’s capital, Windhoek, during her internship, helping design a Web site for the Ombetja Yehinga Organization. Morris-Jones will travel to Khorixas in the northern part of the country, where she will work with performing groups whose programs help educate Namibians about AIDS and HIV.
