Five Elon students in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program volunteered their time recently at Camp Celebrate, a camp in Raleigh, N.C., for children who have survived burns.
Jill Dicks, Kristina Mitchell, Michelle Rice, Courtney Thompson and Melissa Will helped the children enjoy a range of activities, including archery, canoeing, rock climbing and horseback riding.
Camp Celebrate is co-sponsored by the January Foundation and the N.C. Jaycee Burn Center. James January, a burn survivor and motivational speaker, is a regular guest in Elon’s physical therapy program.
