Writer Lynne Brandon calls Robertson “a woman on the move, albeit a delightfully funny one.” She notes Robertson’s many honors and awards, including being inducted into the Speakers Hall of Fame and winning the Golden Gavel, the highest award from Toastmasters International.
Robertson and her husband Jerry are long-time supporters of Elon’s athletics programs and the Elon Athletics Foundation and recently made a major gift to fund construction of Dr. Alan and Norma White Field at the new Belk Track complex. The Robertsons’ son, Bailey “Beaver” Bowline, is a 1989 Elon graduate.
