Come join us for an evening of firsts. New Director Dr. Thomas R. Erdmann will lead the orchestra in Mozart’s Symphony No. 1 as well Haydn’s Symphony No. 1. Featured soloist and Elon music faculty member Tony Sawyer will perform one of the most famous pieces for xylophone and orchestra: Fantasy On Japanese Woodprints (Op. 211) (1985) by Alan Hovhaness.
