Assistant Professor of Theatre Arts Richard Gang will be appearing in “The Fantasticks,” the world’s longest-running musical, at the Centennial Station Dinner Theatre in High Point from Thursday, Aug. 19-Saturday, Oct. 2. He will be performing as Henry Albertson, the “old actor” – a role he has coveted since the 1980s. Gang has also been hired by the theatre as a special consultant to the show in order to ensure that this production pays homage to the New York venue, which ran for a Guiness World Record of more than 40 years. In the past, he performed as Hucklebee for two years in the New York off Broadway production of the show.
“The Fantasticks” shows at 8 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays, and at 3 p.m. some Sundays. Tickets can be purchased for dinner and the dhow, or for the show only. For reservations, call (336) 801-5888. Elon employees receive a 10 percent discount.
