Author Sharyn McCrumb will present her work on mountain ballads at 7:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 25 in Whitley Auditorium, located in the Center for the Arts on the Elon University campus. Sigma Tau Delta, the English Department, and the Liberal Arts Forum are sponsors for this event, which is free and open to the public.
McCrumb will present her work on Appalachian mountain ballad novels, offering insights into how the legends of these mountains impact her works. She will discuss her latest novel, “Ghost Riders,” which provides a candid study of emotions and loyalties that existed in Appalachia during the Civil War and Reconstruction.
