Sponsored by the new Vera Richardson Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life, the program’s theme is “Nurturing the Spiritual Journeys of Young Adults.” The topic was chosen to reflect the Truitt Center’s goal of encouraging students, faculty and staff along their diverse faith journeys, offering opportunities for spiritual growth and the integration of spirituality into their lives.
The Rev. Carole Crumley, co-executive director of the Shalem Institute in Bethesda, Md., will speak. Two of the seven student program directors will speak: Jon Chapman, sophomore religious studies major from Fairburn, Ga., and Danielle Buynak, senior theater arts major from North Royalton, Ohio. They will describe how the Truitt Center’s programs are contributing to their own spiritual growth and that of other students.
Crumley is an Episcopal priest who directs the Clergy Spiritual Life and Leadership program at Shalem and its Soul of the Executive program, designed to help executives deepen the spiritual grounding of their leadership.
