Tom Nelson, assistant professor of communications, wrote a column about all the things he loves to hate about Las Vegas in the Tuesday, Oct. 26 edition of the Greensboro News & Record.
Nelson’s article is part of the newspaper’s Personal Adds program, an occasional column by readers reflecting on contemporary life.
“I can’t even stand its name,” Nelson writes. “Going to a show in Vegas? Where’re you staying in Vegas? It’s Vegas this and Vegas that. Las is lost. It is a city curtly summoned like a dog. Vegas.”
Nelson’s column appears on the front page of the paper’s Life section.
