School of Communications professors David Copeland and Harlen Makemson each made research presentations at the American Journalism Historians Association Convention Oct. 21-23 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Copeland was a panelist for a session titled “Questions of Authority in Early American ‘Chat-Rooms'” and moderated a panel titled “New Perspectives on the Early American Press.”
Makemson presented his research paper, “Eve of Destruction, Sins of Omission: How Political Cartoonists Framed Anti-War Protests at the 1968 Democratic Convention.”
