Alumni take oath of office for elected positions

A pair of Elon alums were sworn in to public offices they won during the Nov. 2 elections.

Dan Ingle ’98, who also works at Elon as an investigator with Campus Safety and Police, was sworn in as an Alamance County Commissioner. A few minutes later, Ingle was chosen as vice chairman of the board of commissioners.

David Barber ’72 took the oath as Register of Deeds for Alamance County. The Bible he used to take the oath was a graduation gift from the college and was signed by President Emeritus J. Earl Danieley.

The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Alamance County courthouse in Graham.
