The Equestrian team went to Virginia Intermont in Bristol, Va., on Dec.1, 2004. The women did an outstanding job, finishing 2nd out of twelve teams. Opponents included Va. Intermont, Va. Tech, St. Andrews, NC State, UNC, Wake, ECU, WCU, App. State, UNCG and Duke. Leading the team was Laura Heymann, who placed 1st in Novice O/F and 4th Novice Flat, Lauren Fisher 1st Novice O/F and 4th Novice Flat, Jozi Snowberger 1st Open Flat and 3rd Open O/F Flat, and Robin Smith 1st Walk/Trot. Other competitors contributing to the impressive finish for the Elon team were Katie Spell 5th Int O/F and 3rd Int. Flat, Chrissie Edwards 5th Int. Flat, Becca Summer 4th Novice O/F and 3rd Novice Flat, and Stephanie Kelley 5th Walk/Trot.
