Alpha Chi, the national honor society for undergraduate juniors and seniors in all academic disciplines, has named a new award after Bob Blake, professor of English.
Named the Robert Blake Award in recognition of his exceptional service to Alpha Chi’s Region III, the honor will recognize the most outstanding member of each chapter within the region. Each chapter will submit the name of a student it wishes to honor to the region’s secretary-treasurer. The region’s executive committee will determine the exact criteria for the award.
Blake’s long record of service to Alpha Chi and Region III included 12 years as secretary-treasurer, where he was responsible for managing and improving the region’s finances.
