The start of construction site work for the Koury Business Center has been moved up from March to January, 2005. This facility will open in the fall of 2006 as the new home of the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business. It will be located at the west end of the playing fields and on the lower McMichael Science Center parking lot across from the Loy Center. The lighted intramural fields toward the Danieley Center will not be disrupted.
The lower McMichael Science Center parking lot will be permanently closed in early to mid January. Parking will continue to be available in this lot until the construction fence is in place. The Loy Center residents and others assigned to park in this lot (D2, EE, EW, and FS) may park in the upper McMichael Science Center parking lot where, in anticipation of this construction, parking spaces were freed this summer by reassigning the Physical Therapy students to the East Gym lot.
Though several parking spaces have usually been open in the McMichael lot, parking will be tighter during peak class hours once the construction begins. Overflow parking for the McMichael lot will be the East Gym lot which was expanded this summer. There will normally be plenty of parking spaces in the McMichael lot after 3 p.m.
