Charity Johansson, associate professor of physical therapy education, will receive the Distinguished Educator Award for 2005 from the American Physical Therapy Association’s Section on Geriatrics. Johansson will receive the award in February at APTA’s national combined sections meeting in New Orleans.
The honor is the highest an educator can receive from the Section on Geriatrics. To be eligible for the award, nominees must have a distinguished academic career in physical therapy and must have helped to advance physical therapy education through the development of innovative teaching methods or materials.
