Workers began placing a construction fence around the site of the Ernest A. Koury Sr. Business Center on Wednesday, Jan. 13. Over the next several months, crews will prepare the ground and begin the first phases of construction. A formal site dedication ceremony will be held in April, and the facility is scheduled for completion in time for an anticipated fall 2006 opening.
The Koury Business Center, which will be the new home for the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, will be located north of McMichael Science Center on O’Kelly Ave. The three-story, 60,000-square-foot facility will feature the latest in digital and video conferencing technology.
Former astronaust and U.S. Senator John Glenn will take part in the site dedication ceremony on April 14. Later that day, he will deliver the address at Elon’s Spring Convocation for Honors.
