Johnson to discuss gender and diversity during February 16 talk

Allan Johnson will discuss the role schools play in gender and diversity at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 16 in Whitley Auditorium, located in the Center for the Arts on the Elon University campus. Johnson teaches at Hartford College for Women and works with major corporations and schools on issues related to racial diversity and gender discrimination. His presentation is titled, “Unraveling the Gender Knot.”

Johnson’s speech is sponsored by the Women’s and Gender Studies program, the sociology department, the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life, the General Studies program and Spectrum. The event is free and open to the public.
