Elon University students will perform “The Vagina Monologues” at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 27 in Whitley Auditorium on campus.
Originally written and performed by award-winning playwright Eve Ensler, these soliloquies are based on interviews with women of different ages, nationalities, ethnicities and circumstances. The monologues celebrate the joy and occasional despair of being a woman. As part of the National V-Day campaign to stop violence against females, proceeds from both performances will benefit CrossRoads Sexual Assault Response and Resource Center in Burlington.
Tickets are on sale the week of the performance in Moseley Center and are available at the door for $5.
