Agnew and “Science for the 21st Century”

Jimmie Agnew, Coordinator of Science Education at Elon University, led the team that compiled the Curriculum Guide for the discovery of superfluidity in helium-3 for which Douglas D. Osheroff, Robert C. Richardson, and David M. Lee were awarded the 1996 Nobel Prize in Physics. She was a guest of the Echo Foundation for their 2005 event—“A Gathering of Nobel Laureates: Science for the 21st Century,” February 27 – March 1, 2005 in Charlotte, North Carolina, when 5 Nobel Laureates met and interacted with members of area high schools and community.
