The North Carolina Symphony, featuring violinist Elmar Oliveira and guest conductor James DePreist, will perform at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 6 in McCrary Theatre, located in the Center for the Arts on the Elon University campus. The program includes works by Saint-Saëns and Rachmaninoff.
Oliveira has been recognized as a commanding violinist, with his a combination of artistry and old-world elegance. DePreist has served as music director of four orchestras and has been guest conductor for major orchestras worldwide. The Chicago Tribune hails DePreist as “one of the finest conductors this nation has produced.”
Tickets for the performance are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, or free with Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased by calling the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
