Dr. Jessica Gisclair, assistant professor, School of Communications, and Dr. James Roux, assistant professor of Communications Studies at Lynchburg College, will present a paper at the Popular Culture Association Conference, Asian Division, March 23 in San Diego, CA. The paper titled ‘It is more than just talk: A communicators style analysis of Mainland Chinese and American students’ examines the verbal and paraverbal communication of students in an attempt to understand the style of communication used by a select group in a collectivist and individualist society. The findings offer a framework from which to compare Mainland Chinese and American students’ communicator styles.
