Elon University students hope to raise awareness about rape and sexual assault during a Take Back the Night march and candlelight vigil at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 13 in Whitley Auditorium on campus.
Members of the local community are invited to take part in the event, which will include an open microphone for survivors to speak out as well as music and dancing. The rally is designed to heighten awareness about sexual assault, empower individuals and inspire action to end sexual violence.
